Re: RIP John Miles

Sad to hear. I have the first three albums. Will dig them out tonight. That single is a classic song though, that's the one.

Re: Naim price increases

Re: Turntable mat

Well, I have kept the felt mat on today, listened to about four hours of music this evening and feel saddened it's coming to an end. Turntable mat

What you all using?

I've been using a Trans-Fi Reso-mat for a good few years now on my Technics but I just tried an old felt mat, either Rega or Linn, I think it was a Rega one, and it sounded a lot better than I was expecting.

Sinatra

Any fans of Frank? I have about fifteen albums, mainly the Capitol years. Especially love the work with Antonio Carlos Jobim, appreciate that's on Reprise. Some great melancholic late night listening. "When you've loved and lost the way Frank has, then you, uh, you know what life's about."...

Re: Prog by alphabet

I have a question for you, Missi. When was this genre of music first called prog? Back in the seventies, ELP and Yes were called techno flash by the NME but it seemed a derogatory term. Of course we had progressive rock but that was always a very wide umbrella. I can't ever recall ELP, Yes, Genesis,...

Re: Labour Leadership Contest

It seems to me sadly, that Labour don't require any help from the Conversatives in choosing a leader that won't win a general election.
