My mains isn't poor but the super cables made sod all difference however modifying the mains wave shape to a consistent sine wave and steady voltage made the system seem smoother. The AG500 is after all a lower maximum output than an AG1500 which may create an affect in your amp depending on how much it's full load is used. The UPS/Regenerators recreate the shape and level of the mains i.e. purer sine wave and a fixed voltage. As such they can improve the mains if it is ropey...

I tried some Acrylic sheet 15mm under my CD player to see if miracles/transformations happened. They didn't. Sheet is still there is made no difference. But if you listen mainly with Headphones (and AP10H) why would you need to isolate your CD player? Affects of nearby heavy industry hammering steel...
