Re: Your last listen

War of the Worlds [The New Generation] - Jeff Wayne etc. The production is excellent but taken as a whole it's not a patch on the original i.m.h.o. There are a lot of "good attempts" to capture the original feel of the album but Liam Neeson isn't Richard Burton and Maverick Sabre certainly...

Re: Your last listen

Clarinet Concerto No. 1 - Louis Spohr. Definitely my bargain of the week is this one. A Triple CD entitled "Romantic Clarinet Concertos" which all sounds pretty average until you find out that most of the pieces on the three discs are played by Emma Johnson, one of the world's premier clar...

Share a discovery with me!

My first discovery is Alberic Magnard. While I'm sure there's at least one person reading this who will think "Yeah, so, I've listened to his stuff for years" my idea is to place your personal discoveries of that one musician/composer/whatever you think the majority of us haven't heard, an...

Re: Another good Grado Headphone.

I bought them a couple of years ago for mastering on the home studio but they double as my late-night listening device. Today's favourite typo

Re: Your last listen

Slinger, you are an old school Head Banger........ Oi! I resemble that remark! But just to prove I listen to the "gentle" stuff too, how about this from the Bard of Dundee... [BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5F44WfZoIN4[/BBvideo] ...who sadly passed away last month.
