Re: Power amp/speaker position
In my situation there is a chimney breast to get around so I was thinking of putting power amps each side of that. I have gathered from previous posts that a difference in speaker cable runs lengths is ok, how about say interconnects with a 2.5m and 0.75m leg?

Power amp/speaker position
So the question is - if you have monoblocs is it better to keep the power amps closer to the speakers? What is the trade of in terms of the relative lengths of the interconnects vs speaker cable? I suppose the longer the interconnect the higher likelyhood of picking up interference but it does mean ...

Re: What else are you hooked on?
Another M/C rider here been riding for 40 years and didn't get a car licence until I was 30. Plenty of scrapes and slides but nothing major. Totally agree with your comment Gromit on making all drivers ride a bike it sharpens the senses and makes you much more aware of what is happening around you. ...

Re: Randomise
Most definitely whatever works for you - I just like an element of surprise. I also find that certain tracks just don't do it for me at the time I get them but work at a later date.

Randomise
As posted on the Music board I use the random play function on the Squeezebox from time to time - last night being a case in point. I find it is really good for digging out some lesser played tracks so potentially either reaquantment with an old favourite or reassessment of a track that may have esc...

Re: Share your favourite gig of all time.
Best ever would have to be King Crimson at Friars Aylesbury on the Discipline tour closely followed by Curved Air at Alexandra Palace in the 70s, others of note would be Rammstein at Brixton Acadamy with full pyro and numerious gigs by Marillion in Milton Keynes before they got signed.

Re: Last Live Listen
Akways having had a soft spot for bands/music in pubs - must be some sort of synergy :D, my last listen was Bruise at the Hob in SE London. A three piece on the night with female lead guitar/vocals (and song writer) backed by husband on drum and electronics, and bass. Really tight, great harmony and...

Re: Dazed and Confused
Ahh. So you can use a much lower output amp for the HF just as long as the input sensitivity is matched. The black art of the black box - wonderful ![Clap ](./images/smilies/eusa/clap.gif)
