Searching for Sugar Man (documentary)
This is the most uplifting music documentary I've ever seen. It starts off rather dry and typical (at least for the genre) but where it goes I could not have anticipated. The film is a testimony to the adage that truth is stranger than fiction. A must-watch!

Re: Klipsch Factory
BTW, Paul Klipsch's last design was an industrial-looking model called the Jubilee. I noticed there is a shop in the UK called Artisan Audio that demos them. There is a review thread at Wigwam:

Re: Klipsch Factory
That video is almost 25 years old so old man Paul Klipsch must have been 85 or 86 at the time...I think, given his age, it's excusable that he seemed a bit out of sorts. I also would be annoyed as hell if someone stopped by and started filming/interviewing me in such impromptu fashion. BTW, he lived...

Re: NVA AP10P
The Italians are onto something: I can attest to the wonderful synergy between the AP10P and the Heresy III. I used this partnership in a semi-large bedroom for a few months and the smoothness, low noise, and "musical space" of the little AP10P were clearly displayed with the efficient (99...

Re: Help with JPW ID
Thank you for the confirmation, Andrew. Do you know if these Minims are less good (cheaper parts/construction) than the Mini Monitors? Or just a slightly smaller version?

Help with JPW ID
JPW's come up on ebay very rarely in the U.S., and I am wondering if anyone can help identify this model. There is no label on the rear (the pics of Mini Monitors I have seen have large labels on the back), and the seller (probably a thrift or pawn shop) knows nothing about them except they are 11&q...

Re: anyone ever heard of trey anastaio/phish?
I am familiar with them. On this side of the pond, they are a very well known (some would say "legendary") jam band in the Grateful Dead tradition. They receive zero radio airplay but their live shows sell out immediately and are akin to religious experiences shared by their fiercely devot...

Re: Naim again.
I would surmise the person is selling because he reached the top of the Naim food chain (that is, he has run out of upgrade options) and painfully realized the promised sonic nirvana was an illusion all along. Without the hope of any more upgrades to cure the flat and fatiguing sound, he has decided...

Re: Amar Bose Obituary
The first idiocy was the promotion of BBC design and second idiocy was the onset of the flat earth. I was just a young teen in the 80s but I observed the flat earth trend occurring stateside to a lesser degree. The important American designers either died, resigned, or went in other directions, and...
