Re: Home visit offer

What a great idea!! Wish I had time to join in with this stuff. An unpretentious system like this is a great place to start conversation and debate. Well done you.

Re: CUBE 1

I Really like that set up. Funky wall paper and great stand for the components to sit on.

Those speakers are dumpy looking things though...... Hope they sound good.

Re: Klipsch Factory

What a charming old man Paul Klipsch was and what a rich, full life he lived. A great video with some interesting stuff in there and weren't those guys made welcome at zero notice? Old fashioned American hospitality of a type now sadly lacking. I hope I'm still working and contributing at that age. ...

Re: NVA A70 vs A80

Thanks boys. I didn't know about two transformers per monobloc. If I didn't live at the opposite end of our great nation, I'd ask to audition one versus the other.
I did think though I had made it clear that I didn't think it was about maximum loudness.....

There appears to be about £260 price difference between a pair of A70s and A80s ( Im not suggesting this is poor value or asking you to justify your pricing which is very fair ). Given that the difference in maximu...

I owned some Naim stuff once. Goodness it stunk (in sound quality terms)

Re: Ask a designer

its a bloody tough one isn't it? My Wadia sounds great but it wont last forever and I do wonder which way to jump next... Files on a computer seem so soulless to me somehow. I've some FLAC fies but they don't hold my interest in the same way that I prefer a real book to my Nook, convenient though it...

Re: Ask a designer

Sounds like you might try NVA cables. They certainly make a difference for me - but then they would wouldn't they? Hi Terry, They are interesting products for sure. Are you pleased with your DAC? it has held my attention for a while - thought it might offer better value than many typical hifi brands

Re: Ask a designer

Not familiar but all have good reps. Are you a cable believer, if so what cables do you use. It not that I don't believe in the difference cable can make..... its that I struggle to hear it. I once A/B'd a thirty quid QED interconnect against a cardas quadlink costing four times as much.... I could...
