Re: A great man dies

A great man yet his family are as corrupt, greedy, manipulative and just plain criminal as you can get. No ones perfect nor was Mandela, but he is iconic like Kennedy was, according to rumour both liked lots of women. I see three twentieth century icons Gandhi, Kennedy, Mandela, with the possible a...

Re: Obits

Hi gus,i am the same age as you, have you noticed you go to more funerals than birthday parties these days. I don't do either. Birthdays are just to be ignored and funerals make me angry!! I can't stand pointlessness and that someone I knew has gone for ever and for no good reason but chance annoys ...

Re: The Speaker Cables

I wrote this over a year ago about the LS7. "This is my first serious listen to LS7, as the old Cubix system had LS6 on it. Well I suppose I shouldn't really comment, especially as I don't really want to make them which is why they don't get listed at ebay. They are a serious pain in the arse ...

Re: Simple Phono2 questions

It can't be the same cart, this was a £500 cart and it wouldn't have been put with a zero 100. Oh yes it was. I had one many years ago when they first came out and couldn't believe my eyes when I recognised it. Who knows who bolted it into the Garrard. The suspension survived it. I reckon there are...

Re: Simple Phono2 questions

I use the non integrated version of this cartridge and its still my favourite MM. Mine came free with a junk Garrard Zero 100 - admittedly the Garrard cost me £5

Re: Hi-Fi Shop

I use eBay all the time and have yet to have anything but good experience. Being stuck out in the wilds of France, means I can get things easily, even if the postage sometimes makes me suck my teeth. eBay France, Holland and Germany are handy too as they have prices that are even better than the UK ...
