From the very beginning of Star Wars in the 1970's, George Lucas had 9 episodes planned - of which the original 3 films formed the central section.
Then came the 3 opening parts and now we get the trilogy that should bring the whole series to some sort of conclusion.

Re: Your last listen
After a long and exhausting evening rehearsing Christmas carols with my choir I'm relaxing to an ambient synth/sequencer CD.

Re: Cheap But Good Speakers.
My 2nd system features a pair of Arcam One speakers (the original version in walnut from the early 80's) powered by an equally vintage Sansui AU-217. The sound can best be described as invitingly warm and rich. These speakers can be bi-wired although i've never tried it. Bought them originally with ...

Re: HDCD - the hidden music
All I know is that I was missing something from playing the CD's and doing this put the 'sparkle' back into the music.

HDCD - the hidden music
A lot of CD's issued between 1995 - 2005 are HDCD encoded. I always thought that it meant that they should sound better and was somewhat disappointed that they didn't. My remastered editions of King Crimson, Roxy Music & Mike Oldfield sounded a bit dull and lifeless. Of course I didn't realise a...
