My experience of the Cube 2 pretty much mirrors yours. I should do a review but I am finding it so hard to describe the changes from the Cubettes because I am now too busy enjoying listening to music to critique the speakers.

The only amp that I have heard from your kit is the Cyrus and my AP20 and P50sa/A20x easily better it. For me the stepped attenuator made a big improvement and I would always recommend buying one if you can afford to.

I have owned both a Sugden A21 and an early version of the A21a (the one with the orange power switch) from the 90's and I have to agree with DSJR about the original version. I enjoyed the A21a though, probably my favourite pre NVA amp.
