Re: Fane 12-250TC Full Range Speaker
Like a miracle cure.......... Let's make a magical speaker, that has only one driver but emulates several drivers.....it must go higher than a Rasta man who's just found his lighter and lower than Corbyn snuffling truffles. Yet to see one that works........pipe dream. I agree that single driver sol...

Re: Corbyn is an evil upstart monkey........
Jammy, I followed the debates very closely in the lead-up to the referendum. The key issue for me was how we would extricate ourselves from EU law, alongside future trading arrangements (e.g. EEA membership, etc.). I was acutely aware of the 'project fear' arguments and it was clear that the 'establ...

Re: Fane 12-250TC Full Range Speaker
I'm wondering whether this driver would work in an open baffle setup along with a 15". My thinking would be the 15" for the bottom three octaves and the Fane for the rest. MiniDSP should be able to get the crossover region right as well as dealing with any treble peakiness.

The British Constitution is about checks and balancs in respect of the three powers. It is clear that the Executive over stepped the mark yesterday. The Judicary could deem what happened illegal. I have an O level in British Constitution and it has not all been forgotton 44 years on. Does my Econom...

Proroguing Parliament is normal. The current session is the longest for 400 years. Parliament has failed to agree anything re. Brexit ever since Article 50 was triggered. People vote as they do for all sorts of reasons, good ones as well as stupid ones. The current proroguation loses 4-5 sitting day...

Re: British amps
Some fine amps in that list, and ohhh those prices..... Hindsight but I wish I had stockpiled a few of the choicier gems. Yes, I do sometimes ponder how I might have done things differently back then had I spent more money on quality items rather that losing money on a whole series of marginal impr...

Re: British amps
Other models that spring to mind (not necessarily good ones) include the Rogers Ravensbourne & Ravensbrook, the Armstrong 400, 500 & 600 series, and of course Leak (valve & tranny). Oh, and various Sugdens.

Toilet rolls... I'm sure that many here may remember the great shortages in the mid 70s. In particular, sugar, toilet rolls and potatoes were hard to find. Only because idiots rush out and strip supermarket shelves. I blame the BBC! As if most bog rolls and tatties are imported. LOL. I blame the BB...
