Re: Concrete sub
After finishing the woodwork, I poured in 2mm of bitumen on to each internal face, allowed to dry then poured in 3-4mm of concrete floor self-leveller. To make the sub acceptable to other family members I covered it in a cream felt and screwed a table top on to it so that it can be used as an occas...

Re: Concrete sub
Very nice of you to think of other family members Doc, I guess you could even tip your main speakers upside down and if by magic, another two side tables appear. Seriously well done Doc, pleased you're liking them. Thanks Antonio! :-) I am nothing if not empathic. You are absolutely right about the...

Concrete sub
Recently been working on my latest DIY project. Focussed on cabinet design really. I used 25mm MDF to build a sub cabinet for a Dayton Audio sub driver. After finishing the woodwork, I poured in 2mm of bitumen on to each internal face, allowed to dry then poured in 3-4mm of concrete floor self-level...

Not directly related to the government, but this lot really get to me.
Entitled either "Three Musketeers" or "Conspiracy". Not sure which.

If Johnson comes out tonight and gives his usual "woe is me, it's such an awful trauma for me to have to make this decision, your sympathy please..." performance, I'll fucking lose control.

Jack Bruce
Mani
Paul McCartney
In 1989 I was inspired to take up bass by Jack Bruce's work with Cream. Specifically his solos in their live recording of "Crossroads". Unfortunate really. Had I tried to emulate a simpler style I may have felt more successful. :-D

Re: Tekton Speakers
They seem to have generated a lot of positive reviews.
Would really like to hear a pair.
Also, to my eye, simply in terms of acreage and £/driver they look to be good value relative to other options. (Obviously those things don't matter if they sound terrible.)

Re: Ap30 arrived
Glad it arrived to you safely. And even more so that you're enjoying it. I can't remember exactly when or where I picked it up tbh. Ebay I think. A few years back. I never played with it as such. Iirc I think I reinforced the top plate's support as it used to sag a bit. But that's it. Leant it to a ...

Re: Is it OK for the government to knowingly break international law?
On the subject of breaking the law, I've been told by more than one person - although I don't know if this is true or bullshit - that there is some law that prohibits the use of razor wire. The prisons in England and Wales use razor wire. A lot. If they didn't they'd need to increase staffing level...
