Think that’s the route I’m going to explore.

Thanks all - it’s an education.

Re: New Adventures In HiFi

Thanks Geoff.R.G Sorry I’ m conflating a few things and that’s confusing. I haven’t got the Raspberry Pi and Gale speaker set up going yet - this is why I’m searching for the amp. The 25W amp (Naim Atom) I refer to is in my main system driving Quad floor standers it’s my experience there that leads ...

What I'm driving at, it why do you need a volume control if you have control in the source? Works for me.
Hadn’t thought of that. That might just be my new plan right there. Thanks

Re: New Adventures In HiFi

I find it interesting when other people think that 15 watts isn't enough for their system. My general response to the 15 watts not being enough is: is that the fault of the amplifier or of the speakers? My thinking: I currently have 25W and tend to operate in the higher half of the volume control. ...

Would like a bit more power. Current amp is 25W which is fine, but I tend to operate in the upper half of the volume control.

Re: New Adventures In HiFi

Box count/size not a problem - it’s the single input of the AP10 that appeals to me. I’ll have a single source system, so I like the idea of that level of focus and not seeing the unrequired source selector. What’s a tuner anyway.

New Adventures In HiFi

Joined the forum yesterday with a view to getting some specific product advice, but having looked around the forum I think I'll just ramble on a bit and then sit back read and learn some more. My music listening until recently was restricted to a couple of hours in the car during the daily commute a...

Re: Introduce Yourselves

Hi there - new to the forum and only really back into HiFi in the last year or so since retiring from work. Recommissioned my Rega P3 but I wanted to get into streaming to broaden my music horizons. Have got myself a Naim Uniti Atom last year which is great but I’m hatching a plan for another room. ...
