Yes 4 years of continual roadworks lifting the river containment walls, rebuilding bridges etc Millions apon Millions of £'s spent but last time I looked a couple of hours ago, it looks like its about to overtop some of the barriers, but the works to the Calder have been confined to Mytholmroyd, it ...

Similar tale here Stu with the River Calder. I live on the moorland catchment area and its not stopped snowing or raining for the past week really. Looks like Todmorden, Walsden, Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd are all about to "cop it". Poor sods in the valley's will probably need some help.

Slinger have you got Jackie and Ian Rankin "Again", my favourite ever live album and quite a thought provoking story. Ian and Jackie giving a stunning evocative but funny performance telling the story of a Fifer returning to Fife for a Funeral. Well worth a listen if you don't already own...
