I thought everyone realised that the full title of the initiative is " Levelling Up About As Far As Watford, And Then Fuck 'Em ." But that's a bit of a mouthful, so they just call it Levelling Up for short. HS2 goes nowhere near Watford! It also, conveniently, appears to miss the PM’s con...

A few comments:
My Quad Pre-Amp, Tuner and CD Player would fit in the hole in the middle.
I have a 10.5" Reel to Reel tape deck, you can't hide one of those! No point in not having it on show.

Spray some servisol into the pots and give them a load of turns to work the stuff in You might be surprised, no point just arbitrarily replacing them if a good clean sorts them The pots on my akai r2r were the main reason it didnt work, copious amounts of servisol as the first step brought it back ...

That would be my preference. I really don’t like switching speakers, much better to do it at the pre-amp.

Thanks for posting that. I am old enough to remember the earlier tests of the Linn where it was found to be lacking. Likewise some amplifiers that magically became must haves. Interesting that Thorens decided to abandon the long arm board for something less flexible and more appropriate when the TD1...
