Re: C'mon - Yer first HiFi......?

I've come to the conclusion that I'm actualy still on my first HiFi. It's a lot like Trigger's broom, it's had 17 new heads and 14 new handles but it's still the same broom.Image

Re: Derrin Nauendorf

Just pokin' my nose in - if you like acoustic guitar you might also try Adrian Legg and Phil Keaggy. Both of those guys make me want to burn my guitars and take up something simple like nailing jelly to a ceiling.

Re: Soundcare spikes feet

Hard pointy things couple, soft blunt things decouple. EDIT - think sex :shifty: I don't think this seller on eBay has quite grasped that - "Set of 3 Medium Oak cones, 30mm diameter x 19mm high. These cones are made to be used freestanding, with points facing up, or stick them to your equipmen...

Re: Broadly defined avant-garde and modern music

As usual I can't resist adding my two-pennyworth to a thread about sounds that can provoke extreme reactions, and my addition is John Cooper Clarke, a.k.a. The Bard of Salford. It's all about the words. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37QUUwp9xIs Beasley Street http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZKPiZl3...

Without giving myself too much time to think about it... Harry Chapin - Greatest Stories Live. Life without "Mr. Tanner" would not be the same.

Re: Obits

August 17th saw the loss of a huge (in every sense) talent - Carlo Curley. Carlo styled himself as "The Pavarotti of the Organ" and passed away at the age of 59. If you've never heard of him this obit in The Telegraph is a great albeit belated introduction to a larger-than-life performer. ...

Re: Your last listen

You might like William Orbit. He does rather cool "electronic" versions of some well known classics. I can recommend his "Pieces in a Modern Style" and Pieces in a Modern Style 2 is now out, although I haven't purchased it yet. OH MY GOD :o William Orbit -- where's my sick-bag wh...
