Re: LS7 Speaker Cable

I'd be interested in seeing if they are as much of a jump as LS6 was over LS5.

Re: Your last listen

Emily Barker and Red Clay Halo 'Almanac'. Alright I bought it because of the theme tune but 'Pause' really is a fine track and the rest is pretty good at first hearing.

Re: Introduce Yourselves

Depends on the curry - some wines and some lightly spiced curries maybe. But mostly the answer is no - it's pretty awful (and the better the wine, the more the waste) but then people drink coke with curry which I find even worse. In my opinion alcoholic drinks should be taken before the curry or not...

Re: TFS

It took me a bit of time to settle in the TFS. If I remember right, I was also getting some clicking on changing tracks but a couple of tweaks in JRiver cured it. Perhaps we should have a stickie page somewhere in the NVA forum with the recommended JRiver settings - I think you'll find some if you t...

Re: Your last listen

Trip to the charity shop today. Since getting the TFS I'm encouraged once again to explore. (And,yes,I do have Spotify, but I can't break the physical browsing habit.) So far, The Corrs, In Blue - bought because of the acoustic versions: ok. Chartlotte Church, Issues and Tissues: made for radio, bes...

Have you ever tried the 25's?
The guy I bought the 22s off had 25s. If I remember correctly, he said that although the 25s produce a bigger sound, in some ways he preferred the 22s.

Re: EPOS ES 22

Glad you're enjoying the music. Sounds like my kind of sound. I like the bass to drive the music along, to provide the timing if you like, not to take over. . I know the sound of the speakers is room dependent too but can you please tell me what cables you are using. I'm using a little pair of Royd...

Does the OS change the sound?

http://www.whathifi.com/forum/computer-based-music/windows-8-sounds-much-better-than-windows-7 So here we have someone stating that they felt Windows 8 (Release Preview) sounds better than Windows 7. Apart from the obvious comment that the product has not been released to manufacturing yet, so even ...

Funk Off Band

Apart from one CD, they're pretty much unkown over here. I see http://www.funkoff.it/?id_cnt=3 they they have four CDs to their name. Anyone familiar with them? Anyone know where to obtain CDs at a reasonable price from the UK? Only the Jazz On album (on Bluenote) seems readilty obtainable. other ap...
