Re: How Not To Die

' Eat more beef you bastards' as the advert used to say in Oz. Maybe they were onto something long forgotten.

Re: The state of the UK Hi-Fi Industry...and what might be done

You will own nothing… I think the Hifi industry will slowly decline as its current market ages. A new listening market needs to be created from the young generations. If there is a market for products, manufactures will supply for it and because the product already exists, you just need to create a...

Re: Last Live Listen

The Stranglers, Victoria Hall, Hanley, Stokeontrent.
I wanted to go see The Stranglers in 1979 at Bingley Hall in Stafford but was not allowed - school the next day.
So 43 years later... Was it worth the wait?

Re: Big thanks to everybody at HFS

For some reason I am yet to fathom, I suddenly lost interest in HIFi and music! around 6 months ago. I still drop in most evenings to keep abreast of the zeitgeist, should my mojo return.
Here’s hoping… Best wishes to all.

Re: Politics, Punk, and the Police.

How does that saying go...? Oh yea. All coppers are baaarstuds. I always feel they protect the wrong side. Looking at the current intake, I would be quite confident, that I could outwit, otsmart and outrun the lot of them.

Re: Your last listen

Having a bit of a David Bowie week myself. Wonder if its got anything to do with the dark evenings as his music does seem to suit the mood. Todays choice is 'Low', probably one of his best and most influential. Incredible to think the guy recorded 11 studio albums during the 70's plus collaboration...

NVA is bold, be bold. Give them names, like Tom, Dick, Harriet etc... Much like the last rename.

Another double thumbs up. 'They' say he has spent a lifetime trying to recreate Raindogs. Nah, he has spent his time submerging and surfacing in music.

Re: Your Last Watch

I don't find much time to watch or listen during summer and have lost interest in ''tv'' but my wife asked me to watch 'Baptist' with her, which I am enjoying, only because it has the rather splendid acting of Tom Hollinder. Regads the last watch movie, It was ' North by North West' you know the one...
