In my experience the power supplies don't have to be massive but it probably helps. I got massive gains from giving the dac chip in my cdp 3 separate psu's including transfomers. Three EI transformer windings of 2.5VA each have given excellent service for the past 3 years.

I have no idea if 2018 was a good or bad year. I am too busy mining the jazz back catalogue from years gone by. Maybe i should pay more attention ?

So do the 12" isobaric cubix have a mid range driver or just 12" and tweeter ?

I often thought about upfiring my 12 incher and 5 inch mid but that made the top panel very big. As you know i have my 12 incher forward firing and mid up firing. The oppposite of you - interesting.
