Re: Bristol Show
Only took two hours from my door to the Bristol show with a total return transport cost of £11.30. I am sure much of the £15 seniors admission fee goes towards the cost of all the glossy brochures they hand everyone. There were less attendees than two years ago when I also went on the Friday ...

Re: Broken speaker connection
This appears to be the answer. Just a matter of finding the right size screw.

Broken speaker connection
One of the plugs connecting LS3 to a Cubette in the second system has snapped with part of it lodged inside the speaker. I am still able to connect it but the situation is anything but ideal. The part stuck inside the speaker has holes which I think the correct tool could get a grip on, enabling me ...

Re: Bristol Show
With Linn not being there, does that mean that Naim will be the Focal point of the show? Naim are more likely to impress people coming out of the bar. I have noticed that there are a number of absentees who I believe were at Bristol before. Technics, Spender, PMC and Yamaha spring to mind. C...

Re: Bristol Show
Anyone going? I'm thinking about it probably on the Friday as it is no great expense living so close and with all my seniors discounts. Went two years ago and was not impressed with most of what I heard, think poor setting up and synergy issues had a lot to do with it as well as the rooms. T...

Re: Scam Warning
This might fit better in jokes and funnies.
Had the winter fuel payment scam text last week when I was on holiday in Tenerife.
It was quite convincing and I can see why people fall for it, especially if they have recently turned 66 as is the case with me.

Re: Got tickets to see - your next live listen
Alice Cooper is coming to Cardiff in July. Got my ticket from the box office yesterday, avoiding the Ticket master thieves.

Re: Last Live Listen
https://i.imgur.com/aBcpCXG.jpg Saw Livewire at the Tramshed last night. They are one of the top AC/DC tribute bands and put on a good show for two and a quarter hours, performing songs from the first album to the latest. Tribute bands are all the rage now. With hardly any one buying the physical m...
