Found on Netflix.

Code 8

Image

A rather good little Sci-Fi movie about people with superpowers being discriminated and treated as second-class citizens.

Fine acting, story, plot - well everything.
Comes across as a mix of 'X-Men' and 'District 9'.

I watched 1917 last week.

It was enjoyable watching all the Germans being the worst shots since the stormtroopers in Star Wars. As well as watching an out of supply unit launch an attack away from its' own supply lines. As well as the large fast flowing river plus waterfall in the Somme / English Channel part of the Front. Etc etc etc.

It was like a filmed version of a 1960's to 1970's Hurricane comic ripping yarn.

I watched 2 interesting and disturbing but flawed films last night that were different to each other whilst sharing certain commonalities:
The Nightingale
Holiday (2018 Danish film set in Turkey)

I watched that on Sky Arts last night, I remember that Gorilla statue as a child, such amazing memories flooded back.
As for the Nightingales (and Stuart Lee) I’m already a fan of both. So was one of the most enjoyable documentaries I’d seen for a good while.
Though, to be fair, watching TV Is something I only do rarely these days. Only caught this as a friend told me it was in, and knew I’d love it :)

The Missus says that this was her favourite from the whole franchise.
Personally, I still can't get past Thunderball.
I think I might be in the HiFi trade.
I am not currently seeking treatment for this.

Two mehs from the NVA jury. Would have scored higher if he'd managed to fix our electricity supply for when we got back.
