The last few days I have noticed an odd 'Click' coming occasionally from the left speaker in my main system. Sometimes quite loud.
This got steadily worse, more pronounced and frequent. I suspected a digital cause, a spurious data hiccup somewhere in the streamer & DAC path.
Turning all that off didn't remove the click. And when I turned the volume pot on the preamp to zero the noises were still happening.
Must be the left-channel A40 monoblock, then.
Time to check the connections. Switching everything off I started to unplug the SSP interconnect and found a mains lead running across it behind the amp.
Shifted the stray lead, cleared some space to give the interconnect a free run and hooked it all back up again.
Click gone, problem solved.
Just thought I'd mention it.
