DSD1024 and high rate PCM. Flagship AKM. Under $800US.

The Sabre based Aquila II was reviewed by Darko, but this has come out.

Best part is the screen has a bouncy graphic equalizer 😊🤘

That looks like a seriously yummy DAC/HPA. Love the red-finish version.

Price with that seller is lower than AliExpress too.

There are plenty of pieces of kit that I could name which are marketed on their 'specs' but sound like a sack of spanners.

Everything I've heard with an ESS chip has been good for only one thing - removing the fillings from your teeth. That was a couple of years ago, though, and YMMV, of course.
