I think Linn gave up on the audiophile market some time ago and are now targetting the super rich with a lot more money than sense. I think my digital source would blow the Klimax away at a small fraction of the cost.

£30k for a box to signify you care more about image and status than sound. Am I being harsh, maybe I am but Linn do make it ever so easy to have a go by stating the nonsense below

"To that end, you’ll find diamond-cut circles on the upper surface, stainless steel buttons and a mirror-screen frontage, not forgetting the beautiful, custom designed, precision-cut glass control dial with 100 status lights. Each unit will also be signed by the Linn engineer who built it from start to finish"

Each to their own but I had silly money to throw at streaming technology then I throw my money in the direction of DCS based in Cambridge England.

Impress your friends with this eye-catching objet d'art, sure to be a winning conversation piece during cocktail parties, soirees or other social functions.

'It plays music too? Oh, how lovely.'

I think built is too strong a word, assembled maybe, but built, not buying that.

Are we sure that Linn's PR dep't didn't go off a day early?

For £30k I'd expect it to get Black Sabbath to reform and do 'The End' in my sitting room....

Word is that Linn are in the process of developing an updated version of the Klimax. Additional features will include a drinks dispenser. Anticipated price, 100K.

I would expect it to resurrect John Bonham and have Zep perform Moby Dick in my living room.
