Re: Houdini
Did any unstintingly inquisitive member try the £25 Origin Live cartridge decoupler? Or is that too cheap to bother with?

That makes a lot of sense.Ordinaryman wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 1:02 pm All I'm saying I suppose is don't dismiss anything out of hand until YOU have heard it.
I dismiss Houdini, for my self, simply because £300 for something that might have some effect on my, rarely used, record collection makes no sense when for the same £300 I can have something that I know will make a difference every day. I don't have a particular "something" in mind but you get the idea. With finite resources I need to put my money where it does the most good.

Re: Houdini
Savvy Paul, good point. shame it wasn't mentioned until now. my mistake, thought we were talking about the Houdini.
R.G. same reasons as me, price. That's why I suggested if purchased collectively everyone who listened to vinyl a lot would get a chance to hear it at minimal cost with very little loss and make up there own mind.

Re: Houdini
I stand corrected.... Still don't understand why anyone who listens to vinyl a lot doesn't give either a chance. Other than cost that is.
If anyone's interested just pressed" the button" on the Origine live version. Once I have heard it happy to post to any other vinyl enthusiasts that want to listen at cost of postage to and from.

Re: Houdini
PS. actually from what I see a stiff envelope and a stamp is all that would be required, so forget the postage.

Re: Houdini
You must have a tolerance level and dismiss things out of hand because you don't use crystals or other such foo.
The houdini is beyond my tolerance level. My theory is the less satisfied you are, the higher your tolerance

Re: Houdini
Here we go again. Tolerance level, yes I have one. Dismiss things out of hand guilty. Crystals or other such foo, not for me. I think you have established that Houdini is beyond your tolerance level. My tolerance level rarely changes. Yours is the theory of the less satisfied the higher your tolerance. Mine is the higher your tolerance the more you understand. Satisfaction, I believe comes from that.
Ill get my coat now., and leave you with this. Words do not maketh the man.
