Re: Subversive
It must seem desperately unfair...it is desperately unfair. Crank up the tunes, Chunk, and keep posting.

Re: Subversive
I was trying to think of something profound to say, but that was a waste of time. Chunk, enjoy your music while you can, for as long as you're able, and then a bit longer. Peace.

Re: Subversive
There is no way you should have been left in ae displaying signs of neurological problems. Given the cause I doubt if it resulted in a worse outcome, but nevertheless it is very poor.
Apparently your arm is difficult to get back as unlike knee, foot and ankle it is not forced to move, so your brain can't be arsed.

Re: Subversive
Phew, that's difficult to take on board as an "outsider" I dread to think what it must be like on the "inside". In the past two years two people who are close to me had devastating initial diagnosis. Both stage 4, less a year to live, my nephew was then 32, with multiple areas under attack. He managed to get on experimental immunology course. Today he is well, has survived C19 and has had a 2nd child. My neighbour who was in his late 50s had lung cancer that had spread, he is still alive, hunkered down trying to stay safe with his family. I know you're situation is very different but with cancer treatment advancing faster than ever, there's a glimmer of hope. My thoughts and best wishes are with you.

Re: Subversive
There is always hope. When I saw Wilco Johnson supporting Status Quo (Frantic Four Reunion) he had been diagnosed with terminal cancer, but he pulled through.

Good shout re Wilco, I used to be a big Dr Feelgood fan, I saw them numerous times when they were in their prime.

Re: Subversive
Yeah Daniel the hand is the slowest to get back got ny leg and arm back quickly but the hand is a different ball game. Getting stronger every day turntable duties are a challenge. Not broke anything yet!
I hear of all these extraordinary circumstances of people beating the medical odds all the time and Wilco is a musical hero of mine as well as an inspiration in life. I get up every day and enjoy all the little things with a whole new perspective and make sure negativity is pushed from my head. Anything not worth bothering about is not even considered.
My Wife and Daughter are everything to me and Christmas will be extra special. I hope it wont be my last but if it is I am determined to make it memorable for all the family. The halls are decked and all the preparation are well in advance. So bring it on and lets all have a great Christmas guys and try not to get bothered with things that don't really matter in the grand scheme of things. Enjoy life people!

Re: Subversive
When I saw Status Quo in Wolverhampton, 2014 or 15, I did not know who was supporting. I was shocked that it was Wilco Juhnson because I was aware of his diagnosis. It put a completely different light on the show, but he was enjoying his music, along with the packed venue, and there was no way you could tell he was so seriously ill.
