I think urethane foam would be light enough and easy to use to fill plastic pipes?

Maybe expanding foam filling the pipe would damp it enough? does with my hollow 4 leg stands. To my ears anyway :)

Snap! Also you could possibly inset any "fixings" for assembly of the frame if you need them? prior to it being installed or before it sets also has the added bonus of not being expensive.

These are my heavy metal stands. They are filled with sand and are very heavy and inert. They are placed on mats to protrct the floor from the spikes. Bought them new for £70 in 2001.

I am starting to obsess about this  Need to snap out of it :violence-hammer:

Saw these. 40 cm so exactly the right length but expensive (£25 each) and probably from outside the uk. £100 per speaker

Imagine a speaker sat on these  10 mm solid steel. I quite like the look of them. What ya think ?

Not as agricultural looking as a Cambridge roller ring and brass bar  but not as light weight as plastic pipes.

Stu, I'm going to be controversial, four legs like that introduce the possibility that one will not be in full contact with the floor, either because the floor isn't level or the legs are very slightly different lengths. I therefore suggest you use three per speaker where they will all be in solid contact with the floor.
