eBay co uk to com

On my android tablet when I go on eBay.co.uk and select a category and then press search it switches to eBay.com for some reason. My Windows desktop works normally and I just wondered if anyone can explain why? Thanks.

It's happening to me too using a Windoze PC with Chrome, Firefox, and Edge browsers. When I use a bookmark from my browser which is definitely a .co.uk link it goes straight to the .com page too.

I've been Googling the problem and it seems we're not alone, and it goes back ages. I've tried every solution I could find that people have posted and none of them works for me.

As a test I tried it on mine by opening a new window, and opening Ebay, but without logging in to my Ebay account, and it does as you say.

BUT, If I am logged in everything stays with Ebay UK.

I signed in on my tablet and had the same problem - it jumped to com when I pressed the large search box but when I used the small search for category next to the ebay logo it stayed on co uk.

Are you authenticated or not authenticated. (i.e. have you saved your username/password in Chrome/Edge/Lastpass) or something like that? I don't see the problem on Windows or the ebay app on Android but, in both cases, I'm authenticated to eBay.

I've got the site bookmarked on Chrome if that's what you mean. But if other people have the same problem then presumably it's a Ebay problem which they'll have to sort out.

Works just fine for me. Stays on .co.uk.

Just to make it even stranger, I've got two eBay bookmarks on Chrome, one for guitars, and one for Hi-Fi, both with a few options (UK only, price limit, etc.) stored in them. "Guitars" goes straight to Dollars and Cents, but Hi-Fi defaults to Pounds and Pence. It does that in Windoze, on my Chromebook, and my iPad Mini.
