I inherited a pair of headphones from my father in law- a pair of Phillips SBC 3155- primarily cos they were distorted and I was keen to investigate.
I removed the stereo/mono switch and the L/R volume pots.
Initially listening via a little Fiio unit but an Nva headphone amp came my way and omg what a difference- couldn’t believe they were the same headphones.
Anyway- those of u longer term listeners how do u rate the use of separate volume controls- I ask as when listening there at moments when u know u are listening to headphones then there are moments when the ‘definite stereo’ disappears. Is this the usual for quality headphones

Got a pair of spares / repair Dynacoustic SP 500 headphones- ditched the volume pots and repaired the voice coil wire that was broken- delicate job- sounding great via AP10H-
