I am in favour of simplicity but some of the selected products didn’t inspire me. The NAD amplifier for example is, to me at least, a bit of a mess. I did like the B&O unit but it wasn’t practical because it required a table top space. NVA amps look nice, basically because they are elegant and minimalist, my current amps have a similar feel, power amps with no controls (except an on off switch).

I am afraid I see meters on an amp as “bling” serving no useful purpose. I must be turning into a GOM, I’d rather stick with simple and functional.

Hmm, aesthetically none of them really do it for me, but I have to 'love' the name 'Runwell' turntable, as opposed to Run unreliably, intermittently, or variably?

Meters should be restricted to recording studios and radio transmitters.

The Schiit design is instantly recognisable. They've done a good job, in that respect.

Oops, yes of course, provided they go up to eleven..

I never understood why amps needed meters as you can either hear the music or not, VU meters on cassette decks, yup, signal strength for tuners, check, but amps.

For some reason, I'm reminded of a 20 year old Lexus...in the same colour scheme.
