Well it's 2 months now since I have been using a rega 200 or whatever . A bran new one .you know the one , no shielding cable and no bias .
Let's forget about the rest.
Bias why do I need it.
I can't spot any degradation towards the end of side.

Your arm has a pre-set bias, assuming it's an RB220. Without any sort of anti-skating, you'll get uneven wear of the diamond at the very least. Lowest common denominator i suppose, it's more likely to be accurate than some random setting.
