I've tried the original Sound Org against a variety of supports, most of them looking like reasonable alternatives. The Sound Org has won every bake-off I've thrown at it with the LP12 and Garrard 301. With the EMT 930 I prefered plonked on the floor.

It's one of those where I'd be happy to come to a bake-off with my sound org table. Or where I'd gently suggest trying one yourself if you can get one for reasonable money. Or trying something else with a welded metal construction, spikes and a light weight.
I picked up a Sound Org table off ebay last night for £30...along with a pair of Wharfedale Dovedale IIIs that we are going to Doc-Mod.
Is it the original single shelf version?

Not quite. The single shelf would be better, but this will do a job in the unit...

Time for a bake-off. 3 shelf Sound Org vs single shelf.

I'm sort of hoping they're close enough to each other to make it a "Cheapest wins."
