I've been happy to sell brand new power amps to use with a volume control equipped DAC directly connected. That's at my risk.

With secondhand gear, bought elsewhere, it is always your risk.
I appreciate that and I think I'd rather have the peace of mind of going down the safer route 👍

A belated welcome back, the rate of change has sped up re streaming whilst you have been away from the forum and I am another person who moved from Tidal to Qobuz, in my case it was cheaper and sounded so much better. I am sure you will have fun what ever decisions you make.
