An ex-fiancée of mine ran the record department of a local electrical retailer (Yes, that's how old I am. Shops used to have record departments) and every time I see "Showaddywaddy I think of poor old Gerry, the shop manager, for it was he who had to do the actual ordering from a list my ex compiled for him. I'll never forget the day we overheard him ringing through the week's orders and asking for x copies of the current Shoddywaddy album. They have been Shoddy Waddy to me from that day forward.
