Not that it's much use you can at least claim some compensation for each day without power, we did when we had 3 days without power but it doesn't amount to much.

Electricity (and heating) now back on; the walls are gradually defrosting.

Tomasz on his way to the airport - I'm glad that he was able to get warm before he left! We also got a chance to have some more time, last night, with the prototype Cubes with the new drivers. After a bit of tweaking of resistor values, we listened for around 3 hours.

To cut a long story short, we are both thrilled with these 'new' Cubes. They are a massive leap forward - separation, resolution, speed, depth, headroom. The ability of these drivers to give every instrument it's own space is absolutely addictive. I just wish you guys could be here with me, right now, to hear them. Anyone who wants to come up, next week, send me a PM. The next step is to build a pair in 24mm birch-ply cabinets with steel lined bases. Then we decide what to offer commercially.

Tomasz returns to the UK in early January. I'll update, in the next few weeks or so, about schedules for upgrades / new builds.

Cube 1 only, for the foreseeable. Once people hear them, I think they won't want to settle for anything less. Bass is deep (astonishing, in fact, for an 8" driver) but taut, powerful and textured - the shape and impact of every bass note is there, even on very complex arrangements. We had arranged to meet friends in the pub at 7, last night, we didn't get out of the house until gone 9...

Had a very enjoyable, full day, yesterday, with long term Cubes owner, Mark (CycleCoach), listening to the new Cube prototypes. Swapped lots of music that was new to the other, revisited some old favourites, generally had a good catch up. Also, some interesting ideas about various things NVA that we are going to give a bit of thought to.

Thanks for the hospitality Paul and Scooby!
As a lover of the original Cubes (and NVA in general,) I'm so excited about the developments being made behind the scenes.
It was a privilege to get a good early listen to the prototypes, and to be able to feel a part of the process.
Wow. They sound good.
I can only apologise about Gilbert & Sullivan though.

Have had the large TKD volume pot in the system at home to test.

I'm told that it's a very, very good pot, but it's a long, long way behind our stepped attenuator for clarity and separation. Not nearly in the same league.
