LAST FEW ITEMS AT 'OLD' PRICES!

Unlike many manufacturers, we don't charge new prices for the stock we already had built before increases are announced. That means you can still get some of our items at pre-increase prices. We have very limited stocks of...(new prices in brackets):

S80 stereo power amplifier - £495 (£695)

S150 stereo power amplifier - £1,000 (£1,250)

AP10H headphone amplifier - £475 (£695)

AP10P personal integrated amplifier - £500 (£725)

M300 monoblock power amplifiers - £1800 (£2,000)

Starter Bundle P50 / S80 / SC / LS3 - £875 (£995)

When they're gone...they're gone!

We previously kept prices of the Model Worker range artificially low, as we had inherited a number of cases and amplifier boards as part of the purchase of the remaining assets of NVA. Now that the stock of both has been exhausted, future pricing reflects the true costs involved. Hopefully, everyone here has had the chance to snap up a bargain (especially if you bagged a Forum Ltd Edition model). If not, then the last remaining pieces at 'old' prices are listed, above. Order via www.nvahifi.couk. Card or bank transfer, or buy now pay in 30 days with Klarna.

Yesterday was a very productive day with Doug and Brian (Hifi Architect) from 3 Square Audio, and long term Cubes owner terrybooth. We've now got a bass driver for the new cubes that is light and above average efficiency, doesn't need hand doping and is designed to work with just a capacitor (and padding resistor for the tweeter). Keeping to the discipline of changing one thing at a time, we built the new drivers into an original pair of Cube 1 cabinets. After some tweaking of resistor values, we are very happy that these are a definite step forward on the original doped Cube drivers. Bass is deep but nimble, and transients are distinctly faster than the originals, but without any sign of running out of headroom. Addictive!

The next step is to put the drivers into 24mm birch ply cabinets.

We haven't discussed it, yet, but I can't see a problem.

Update - I spoke too soon. Tomasz reminds me that the Cube 1 case had to be modified (opening made larger) and there is a risk in doing that, that the case will crack. We could take that risk with our spare pair of cabinets, but if we do that with yours, and the cabinets crack, then you don't have a pair of speakers.

Know how that feels. We had several days without power during a cold winter some years ago.

A pair of military helicopters on night manoeuvres flew through the power lines that run over the river here.

Northern Powergrid proudly trumpeted that they were sending a burger van to our village, to give out free hot food and drinks, between 1pm and 7pm today.

The chair of our community association just got a phone call to say that it won't now be there until 4pm. Seems that they ordered a van for Waterhouses, Derbyshire rather than Waterhouses, Durham.

🤣
