And, the trouble is, if we ask people what they would prefer, their answers will not always match their eventual buying decisions! We just have to decide, and hope we don't waste all our money, lol.
Might be worth emulating Henry Ford for a while, any colour you like, as long as its black.

One of the problems with “unusual” colours is that they can be difficult to resell. If you retain the trade-in policy you won’t want to be stuck with, say, a pair or yellow mono blocks because 99% of buyers want black and .99% will go with white. As the saying goes, keep it simple*.

*Actually Keep it simple stupid. You aren’t stupid.

Stop listening to your hi-fi system! Start listening to music! NVA owner, Paul Tiernan, thinks we need to go back to basics when it comes to assessing and choosing a hi-fi system.. https://nvahifi.co.uk/a/blog/stop-liste ... g-to-music

I also bought my first single in 1969, Robin Gibb - Saved by the bell. I really liked Space Oddity and the album was one of the first I bought when Bowie made it big in 73.

The lovely people at #hifipig have just published an updated version of the interview that we did with them in 2022... thank you Stu & Lin, have a fabulous 2023! 🥰

https://www.hifipig.com/hifi-pig-interv ... eNH6f9Me2I

We updated a couple of answers to reflect latest developments and the review of the new integrated. Stu at HiFiPig wanted to repost it as it was originally only placed in their e-mag and should have also gone on their website, but it got missed.

Nice one Paul. Explaining that the speaker cables are an integral part of the amplifier is an excellent way to encourage compliance, particularly as it is true.

I am a member on a couple of other fora, neither Hi-Fi related, and the number of people who think they know better than the manufacturer is astounding. Surprisingly, many of them fail. Occasionally somebody sees something that the manufacturer could have simplified and it works well but that is generally rare.

Announcements imminent...

Price changes - component costs have gone a bit crazy in the last year. Capacitors up 45%, transformers up 20%, some raw cables up by nearly 100%. On top of that, we've been renewing our stock of cases, as the ones we inherited from Richard have been running out - and prices are near double what Richard paid in 2015/16/17. So, some price increases from 1st February, but nowhere near the percentages above. As before, I will post the multipliers (retail price divided by parts cost) for each item.

Bundle Deals - we believe that people get the best from NVA when they use it with NVA, so we will have some more bundle deals to tempt people to hear that synergy.

Trade-In-Offers - we know that people like to dip their toe in the water before they dive in. Offering trade-ins and upgrades enables buyers to get more NVA without having to sell their own kit. Finances didn't allow us to continue the trade-in scheme when we resurrected NVA in 2019, so we concentrated on upgrading existing units, but now we are in a position to offer something formal on trade-ins, also.

...full details later today.

Looks slick and likely to appeal to many, but good to read on FB that the traditional design will remain.
