The Black Friday sales provided me with a stack of cheap synth CD's from the Groove Unlimited label. These included:
Bas Broekhuis 'The Escher Drawings'
Really rather goed Berlin-School EM with a large dose of 'Timewind'-era Klaus Schulze.

Re: Your last listen
Volker Kriegel & Spectrum 'Mild Maniac' (1974)
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1e9LEfBVEKU
Guitarist Volker Kriegel is a new name for me but he was one of the major figures in the emerging German Jazz-rock scene of the early seventies.
'Mild Maniac' also includes the incomparable Eberhard Weber in a relatively conventional bassist role and another later ECM stalwart, Rainer Bruninghaus on keys.
Kriegel died in 2003 but only recently his tape archive has been unearthed and several albums have been reissued.
Mastering quality is sublime and the music is immaculately-performed, accessible jazz-rock with a combination of European, British and American influences.
Fans of Soft Machine, Nucleus, Turning Point, Return to Forever et al owe it to themselves to check out this excellent album.

Re: Your last listen
On the dog walk this morning got an "ear worm" - "Roundabout" Yes.
Haven't listened to it for possibly forty years; Wow, my taste wasn't bad as a youth - just wish I had something to go with it
edit: bloody hell, just carried on listening to "we have heaven" and "south side of the sky" - chills running down my spine, memories of my Sennheiser HD 400's, a smoke and and a grin from ear to ear

Re: Your last listen
My morning walk today had Tangerine Dream 'White Eagle' on headphones. Fine soundtrack to bleak Dutch flatness along the lower reaches of the Rhine.
