Stuck in a major Jean-Michel Jarre rut at the moment and loving every minute of it. Now into a favourite:'The Concerts in China' from his performances there in 1981. This double LP has one of his best tracks in 'Arpeggiator' and is a terrific culmination to his first period and the rise to stardom.
He was the first Western artist to be allowed to perform in China as his music was regarded as universal and apolitical.

I have had several versions of this album: the original double-LP, first 2CD version, 1997 Scott Hull single-CD remaster and now the 2014 Dadwater edition which is by far the clearest, most detailed and dynamic I have heard. And it comes as a 2CD inclusion as part of an 'Original Album Classics' budget set along with 'Oxygene' and 2 rather fine later efforts 'Chronology' and 'Metamorphoses'. All crisp and pristine in new masterings for a pocket-money price and markedly improved SQ. This set is worth it simply for the magical remaster of 'Oxygene' alone.
