The Verve- Urban Hymns.
Not exactly happy weekend music but it is an excellent album imo.

Re: Your last listen
The J.B's-Funky Good Time. Funky as fook. If you don't like brass instruments then give this one a miss. Luckily I love brass I often think people who don't like the sound of brass must have a raw sounding system or compromised hearing or both.

Funktastic here tonight.
Herbie Hancock - Manchild. Funky as a very funky thing. It's drippin' in fonk.

Re: Your last listen
Kitaro 'Oasis' (1979)
Kitaro's second album has him firmly in 70's TD territory and sits comfortably alongside the likes of 'Stratosfear' and 'Force Majeure'.
What sets him apart is his precise delicacy and the oriental tone-palette of sounds he conjures from his synthesizers, producing flowing atmospheres that are both pastoral and spacious.
Later on, Kitaro moved into gentler, New Age stylings but on this early release the shadows of psychedelia (Pink Floyd) can be heard. 'Oasis' is an old favourite of mine and a great relax-disc.

Re: Your last listen
The Eden House 'Half Life' (2013)
For some reason this line from Douglas Adams 'Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy' popped into my head whilst listening to this ...
“In those days spirits were brave, the stakes were high, men were real men, women were real women and small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri were real small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri.”
Rock 'til you drop.
