'Gilded Form' (2023)
Strange one, this ... 'Gilded Form'. A trio of guitar, synth & drums with a single long piece running over both sides of an LP. The music is a hypnotically slow drone with heartbeat rhythms and bluesy guitar motifs a la David Gilmour.
Actually it sounds like an extended intro to something off Pink Floyd's 'Wish you were here'.
Very spacey and dreamy.

The Frozen Autumn 'Pale Awakening' (1995)
Bargain-bin find; this looks like it could have been released on 4AD in their 80's heyday - and it sounds like it as well!
Atmospheric gloom-Goth from an Italian duo who were previously unknown to me. Coming across as a lost Clan of Xymox or Trisomie 21 album.
Definitely one for those who enjoy that somber, New-Wavey sort of thing !

I'm going to see them play this at Durham Cathedral on Friday. It's a little earnest, but an impressive venue and we'll have a few pints in the Victoria, beforehand.
