Actually, I never cared for Kaleidoscope.

When Morris and Mackay walked out during the 'Join Hands' tour, The Cure were the support band and Robert Smith offered to fill the guitar slot - so ended up playing 2 sets a night for the rest of the tour.

After Mcgeoch left the Banshees to join PIL, Smith was again invited to help out and made a major contribution to 'Hyaena'.

I always found the blend of live recordings and clever overdubs captivating.

Frank's voice sounds so young on this one (pre his onstage accident in London that dropped it an octave.)

BeBop Tango is a personal fave.
