The Cure 'Faith' (1981)
The first NEW LP I have bought since the 80's is the 180g Robert Smith remastered edition of their 3rd album 'Faith'.
Back as a trio, The Cure made this sombre, minimalist work which has a big, spacious sound and refines the approach begun on the wonderful 'Seventeen Seconds'.
This pressing is nicely done and the album comes over as a true classic of the Goth sound.
Ordered this from Amazon at a not-too-unreasonable price along with 'Unknown Pleasures'. Both were delivered in huge boxes that you could fit an Ikea warqdrobe into.
What's the pressing quality like ?

I found both 'Faith' and 'Unknown Pleasures' to be excellent pressings and better than the originals. Factory Records used to have dubious quality as they did everything on the cheap.

(Japan. simple prog like UK on second track, then on side two it really gets into gear: like instrumental King Crimson with incredible playing...and fretless bass.)

Jethro Tull - A (2021 Steven Wilson Reix)
Not one of my favourite Tull albums but has never sounded so good. Hope there will be remixes of Broadsword and the beast and Crest of a Knavein the future.
