I don't have any developed views on Zappa - first time I've listened to one of his albums.

Just got DOORS - SAME orig. lp for $2.80.
For nerds counting: this is orig tan Elektra label (later early reissues were red Elektra and "butterfly" Elektra)
Its orig tan cos you can see circular depression one-third way into label.
Matrix (dead wax) has "AL-1" etched . This means Allentown,Philedelphia pressing plant. Good but even better would have been "M" or 'MON" which denotes Monarch Pressing plant and is considered the ultimate first press with best sound (for them dipshits that bother with such minutae). Columbia was the third pressing plant.
So...good find but too bad its stereo. If it were mono, that would be the ultimate collectable.

'Hatfull of Hollow' (1984)
A co!lection of BBC radio sessions and a couple of early singles. The recording is vital and urgent - qualities the first 'proper' album somewhat lacked.
Essential? Hell yeah!

PLUME LATRAVERSE - LE VIEUX SHOW SON SALE '75 Quebec
title translates to "the old dirty sound show"
Controversial "cum-on-the-woman's-face" front cover and, apparently, some of the lyrics reflect this bawdiness.
This lp is never talked about on prog forums. tWO excellent instrumental prog tracks and it starts with reel played lightning-fast ON ELECTRIC GUITAR (which reminds me of Rene Lussier) but the remainder of the lp is TOTALLY DIFFERENT ....blues/novelty and corny Quebecois vocals - almost what you might imagine Quebec pubrock! The male vocalist sings with this French nasal snotty-ness as if making fun of himself or of the French chanson-style.
