Sorry to hear that Dave. All the best to you my friend.

Thank you all very much for your kind words. I have a very good friend in Phnom Penh whom I've known for many years, he came round on the day Atou passed and to be honest I don't know what I would have done without his help. I see him on a daily basis at the moment, either for breakfast or evening meal, which passes a few hours of each day. One more friend came from Kampot and stayed the first two nights, the room I rent has two bedrooms, again this was a great help. Others that I know have all said "if there's anything I can do", and my brother is on the other end of a phone. so have been ok for support, but of course there are times when you are on your own and they are never the best. I know times a great healer, and I am sure things can only get better, my plans had been to return to the uk early March, and at present that has not changed, returning to Cambodia might have.

It's good to know you have a support network Dave. My thoughts have been with you. I don't live a million miles away from Grimsby so when you get back it would be good to meet sometime.

I have just read about Max on another forum. He was without any doubt a creative free thinking designer who wasn't afraid to challenge conventional thinking. In my opinion we need more people like Max and from all accounts he was a decent bloke to be around. RIP
