Got the first set years ago, from memory the La Dusseldorf was the stand out one, the rest were interesting, but I didn't feel the need to delve further into back catalogues.
How does the Popol Vuh lp stack up in the second set, is it the 'best' of the lot?
The 5 albums are:
Doldinger's Motherhood - a mixed set of prog / funk / jazz as a precursor to the later electronic fusion of Passport.
Popol Vuh 'Das Hohelied Salomos' - one of the most accessible Popol Vuh albums, lovely.
Gila 'Bury my heart at wounded knee' - hippyish folk-rock, female vocalist. Pleasant.
Diez & Bischof 'Daybreak' - average 70's rock in several styles. Unremarkable.
Dennis 'Hyperthalamus'- Excellent. Think of a cross between Soft Machine and Can.
