Narrow field of vision, could that be the tunnel effect of too long staring up your own arse

There are wrong presumptions being made and guru status being self appointed. The only guru status's allowed here are given not taken. At the moment on Prog my choice of given guru is Fretless.

It would help if you actually discussed the matter Andre and Wallace (if it is him) and not make presumptions and demands.

ONCE AGAIN for those who refuse or just don't care to understand.

1/ no ad hominem, however you want to describe it "play the ball not the man". Refer to the subject not the poster.
2/ do not question admin decision unless by PM.
3/ endless repeats of the same post.
4/ no spamming and very limited tolerance of shilling.

Obvious trolls will be put on the watch list.

It is so simple 99% of members find no problem with abiding by them. Andre can't.

I wish I could speak out in his support but I suspect that would be breaking the rules.

Please do, it is not breaking the rules. I would like Andre to be a member even though he is incredibly self centred in his views. BUT I cannot simply let him break the rules until he believes they don't apply to him. I made that mistake with Jammy, and look at the monster that has created. If you are his friend then talk some sense into the silly sod. He breaks the rules I have to admin it, then I become the target, he has to stop that for any relationship to work.

Fret: I listened to those two Spock's Beard recommended cds and I must admit its pretty fine stuff. Much better than that early cd I heard.
Lyrics are a tad too "happy" for my liking though - but then again , so are YES.

Speaking of YES , parts of this remind of American YES, Starcastle, no?

Thanks for this!

No, I'm not his friend as such but I have bought a few CD's from him a few years back. I've always found him helpful and a good source of information, especially regarding seventies hi-fi bargains that are under the radar so to speak. I think he's very knowledgeable and passionate regarding his musical interests and his questioning of, shall we say authority, originates from wanting to support his viewpoint. Fight his corner so to speak. Appreciate he's a maverick but forums need these people to make it more interesting. He needs a place to speak because there are people who enjoy reading what he has to say. Well I do anyway and feel this place benefits from his contribution.

He got chastised for liking the transformer in your ebay power supply recommendations. He simply asked where to buy those headphones and when more or less told they were rubbish, fought back. Not really heavy handed either.

Please can we have him back now? ☺
