I shall probably end up buying myself the new Pistol Annies album, "Hell of a Holiday." for my Christmas music collection. I've got tons, BB King, Brian Setzer, Chris Isaak, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, The Prog World Orchestra, as well as the more "normal" Beach Boys, Phil Spector etc. and a shed-load of classical Christmas-themed music too.

As I shall be completely alone for the first time ever this Christmas, I can play Christmas music all day. :banana-rock:

That possibly came out sounding more *pathetic* than it was intended to.
Amps - NVA P50, AP30, A40, Stanislav Palo Tube Headphone Amp BB 85
Speakers - Monitor Audio Silver RX2
Cables - NVA LS1+LS3, SSC, Gotham S/PDIF, IBRA Optical
Digital - NAD C516BEE, SONY ST-SDB900 DAB TUNER, TEAC UD-H01 DAC
Analogue - Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Esprit SB, Graham Slee Gram Amp 2 Phono
Cans - Grado SR80, ATH-M50X

Thanks, Col. In a funny way I'm sort of looking forward to it though. It'll be the first year since I don't know when that I won't have a Christmas dinner to cook (I'll probably end up with a lump of ribeye) and I've still got a Christmas pudding from last year that's "in date", so dessert is sorted. Since my wife passed away 4 years ago I'd been going round to mum and cooking Christmas dinner for the two of us there, but now she's in a nursing home cooking for one, me, is really not worth the effort or the expense, or, more importantly still, the waste food it would create. Even buying for the two of us, there was more food than we could eat.

Othe bonus: No decorations to put up, and then take down again. That's a definite result.

There's never anything on telly on Christmas day, so I'll play loads of Christmas music, and probably sit down with a good book or even a bad one, and perhaps catch up with some of the Blu-rays I've never managed to watch for one reason and another. I might even have a tot of malt in the evening.

To be honest, I've never really been arsed about Christmas, and this year It'll be just like any other day in my life. but with even more shit telly.
