Re: Favourite guitarist
Captain Sensible of The Damned - flourished when he switched from bass after Brian James departed. Frustrated prog-rock soloist.
Steve Jones of The Sex Pistols - the one who could play. Power chords with wit and agility. "Give it some bollocks!!"
N.A. Palmer of Crass - showed how to create and challenge without ever learning to play. A true innovator.
Nick Drake - heart on sleeve.

As threatened promisedslinger wrote: ↑Mon Nov 02, 2020 11:40 pm I did this as a part of a chain thing on Farcebook, where you get nominated by someone else. You're supposed to post one per day. Just to make it easier (on me) I decided to pick only British guitarists. I'm up to number 63 so far, and I've got at least another dozen ready to go.
They are in no particular order. I haven't actually run out of names yet, but I needed to take a break for various reasons. I've even done a "write up" on most of them, one of which ran to just over 4000 words. That's when I realised it was becoming a bit too time-consuming.. As far as posting them goes, I've got Steve Rothery prepared and ready to go over the next day or so, and if you are bored enough to wonder what I've written they're all, as I've said, on my Farcebook page, along with the expected political .

Re: Favourite guitarist
A guitarist whose name escaped me, saw him play a couple of times in the 80's:
Michael Chapman.
