+ 1 with Taste. Got the tube to london to see them, Rory Gallager was/is the man. Went to Isle of Wight a couple of times, dont remember much. Do remember getting really excited, getting on the tube to see/hear Hendricks at a club in london. Got there and it was FULL  , so stood on the street and listened.

I had many of those LP's also, and still have a few that survived: !971 was the year I really started 'getting into' music, the first non-local band I went to see was Stackridge followed by Stray at the Jazz Club Grimsby, after those two the club was closed, I believe for safety reasons: I then went to see bands at the Winter Gardens Cleethorpes, the first was Funkadelic backed by Alan Bown Band: Although I can remember the names, I wish I could remember more about the music and the night itself

Anyone else recall hearing One Of These Days on the Old Grey Whistle Test when they used to play odd tracks with added animation?
I was gobsmacked and went out and bought Meddle pretty soon after. Great album, (though as a Manc it's a shame about the Kop making an appearance ;) )

I remember that film on OGWT too - and it was the reason I rushed out for a copy of Meddle as well.

The original Pink Floyd line up in a small club above the Provincial Garage on Humberstone Road in Leicester in 1967 I think. We walked to the venue and could hear them warming up miles away - caused a fair bit of consternation to the immediate older residents!
Like so many others can’t really remember much as it was such a crush and came out with exploded eardrums - never been the same again!
So old!

He might as well have done, mine never came up. Then again he might have been a milkman.
