Gave up watching it in the early 80s. Dread to think how bad it would be now.

It was a show very much of it's time and the sources of media available at the time and was canned because it lost relevance, unless the you come up with a killer USP then it will get lost in the noise, and as stated above I dread to think how bad it would be now.

I don't think it would work either without a USP as stated above. Let's be serious though, none of us old gits would be watching it anyway. It needs to appeal to the youth of today. Music and music video is so accessible these days compared to the 90's when all we had was MTV. Is MTV still going ?
